Om 09.00 uur ontbeten we met onze eigen gekochte “murfins” en om 09.45 uur waren we onderweg naar Clearwater voor een boottocht met de Seascreamer. Deze grootste speedboot van de wereld (volgens de Amerikanen, nou dan weet je het wel) vaart met grote snelheid de zee op. De golfslag die daardoor ontstaat vinden de dolfijnen geweldig. Constant kwamen zij omhoog gedoken uit zo’n golf. Op de foto’s hebben we er geen een kunnen vastleggen, maar op de video hebben we prachtige opnamen.
’s Middags toen wij op het strand waren, voer dezelfde boot weer voorbij en konden wij de dolfijnen weer aanschouwen. ’s Avonds aten we in Clearwater bij de Pier waar ons na zonsondergang op diezelfde Pier fantastisch entertainment aangeboden werd en een heuse Amerikaanse braderie. Kitsch dus.
