Vandaag stonden we om 07.30 uur op want we moesten weer verkassen. Via Tampa en Orlando, waar weer in een file terechtkwamen, ging de rit vervolgens naar Daytona.
Eerst bezochten we daar een Libriary om te internetten, het thuisfront op de hoogte te brengen van onze belevenissen en om te kijken of we inmiddels een nieuwe kabinet hadden en of onze aandelen nou eindelijk eens gestegen waren.
Bij de supermarket weer wat brood en vooral veel chocola ingeslagen en toen op weg naar Daytona International Speedway, een van de allersnelste circuits van de wereld waar de National Association of Stock Car Auto Racing (NASCAR) jaarlijks wordt gereden. Hoe we het deden weten we niet maar plotseling stonden we op de tribune en konden we een training aanschouwen. Jeetje zeg wat een stadion.
Na dit bezoek deden we waar we nou eigenlijk voor gekomen waren. We gingen met de auto op het strand. Wat een rare gewaarwording is dat zeg. Het weer was vreselijk, regen, wind en kou en dat is maar goed ook want je moet niet denken aan de gevolgen als het strand door vele badgasten worden bezocht en jij daar met je “B-team” auto tussendoor moet laveren.
‘s Avonds bezochten we weer een hutje voor een pizza en besloten het toen op onze kamers 309 en 311 gezellig te maken. Wat een melig zooitje zeg, om het minste geringste werd gelachen. Helemaal toen de buren, waarschijnlijk was hun hotelkamer uitgerust met een keukentje, kippenpootjes gingen braden en de geur onder de deur door kwam en Marianne de kieren probeerde te dichten met handdoeken, hielden we het echt niet meer droog.
