Het is momenteel vrijdagavond en eigenlijk zou ik op dit moment mijn koffer moeten inpakken. Maar natuurlijk gebeurt dit pas op het allerlaatste moment.
Na maanden besluiteloos te zijn geweest hebben we vorige week dinsdag besloten om een reis te maken door Mexico. Ik hoor jullie denken ‘vorige week dinsdag?’. Ja, als je beiden een andere mening hebt over een vakantiebestemming dan wordt het lastig om knopen door te hakken. Maar na wikken en wegen is de vakantiebestemming dan eindelijk gekozen.
Zoals jullie uiteraard wel begrijpen is de voorbereiding hierdoor erg minimaal geweest. Helemaal voor mij, aangezien ik nog een aantal afspraken had staan in de avonduurtjes. Het enige wat ik jullie nu kan vertellen over mijn komende reis is dat we morgenochtend om 9.00u richting Schiphol vertrekken en in Cancun landen met een tussenlanding op Cuba. Wat ik in Mexico te zien ga krijgen moet ik morgen, gedurende een hele lange vlucht, uit zien te zoeken aan de hand van de Capitolgids (hopelijk blijft ‘ie deze keer niet in het vliegtuig liggen).
Ik hoop jullie gedurende de reis op de hoogte te kunnen houden van onze belevenissen en hoop hiermee jullie te kunnen vermaken met onze verhalen en foto’s. Ik zou het leuk vinden als jullie berichtjes plaatsen in het gastenboek. Ik zal proberen hier ook op te reageren.
Ja, ik moet er nu echt aan geloven. M’n koffer moet worden gepakt!
