Bij deze dus mijn eerste blog van een musicalbezoek. Uiteraard is dit een bezoek aan Mary Poppins. Deze musical is momenteel mijn favoriet (is niet zo heel moeilijk, aangezien er nu niet zo veel anders is). Waarschijnlijk zullen de komende blogs ook gaan over Mary Poppins.
Zoals ik al eerder heb aangegeven zal ik niet de gehele show gaan analyseren, want dan krijgen jullie elke week praktisch dezelfde blogs te lezen. Ik zal me meer gaan richten op opmerkelijke punten in de spelers en toneel, e.d. Uiteraard is hetgeen wat ik in mijn blog vermeld staat, iets naar míjn mening.
Na drie weken ‘vakantie’ mocht ik eindelijk weer naar Mary Poppins. Evenals Noortje en William was ik twee weken op vakantie geweest. Voor William was de eerste werkdag nog niet aangebroken, dus wordt Bert gespeeld door Jaap. Noortje was wel weer aanwezig.
Tijdens de show zijn er enkele opvallende momenten geweest:
• Op het moment dat de parkwachter ziet dat Neleus niet meer op de sokkel staat zegt Mary normaliter “is er bij jou eentje op de loop?”. Nu was het “is er bij jou eentje aan de wandel?”.
• Helaas viel bij de scène in de keuken de bovenste blank boven de wasbak niet naar beneden.
• Wanneer mevrouw Bril de enveloppen geeft aan Winifred en de laatste nog moet dichtlikken, maakte ze deze keer een hard slurp, slurp geluid tijdens het likken.
• Op het moment dat George als eerste het huis verlaat, doet hij net of ‘ie struikelt over de drempel. Als hij over de ‘drempel’ is, maakt hij het gebaar dat Winifred mee kan komen. Ook zij ‘struikelt’ over de ‘drempel’. Dit had ik nog niet eerder gezien, maar was heel leuk (knipoog naar de eerste scène met Catharina).
Noortje speelt zoals altijd geweldig. Op haar viel niets aan te merken. Het is fijn om te zien dat alles zo makkelijk gaat. Voorheen had ik af en toe het idee dat ze wat moeite moest doen met de zang, maar vandaag heeft ze mij dat gevoel niet gegeven.
Jaap heb ik nu al een aantal keren gezien. Het leuke aan Jaap is dat je hem echt ziet groeien in zijn rol. Het gaat hem allemaal steeds makkelijk af, waardoor hij veel losser kan spelen. Hierdoor vind ik het helemaal niet erg als William er niet is.
Ook Hugo wordt veel losser in zijn spel. Had hem de twee weken voor mijn vakantie niet gezien, omdat hij toen zelf op vakantie was. Toen heb ik beide understudies, Ger en Armand, gezien. Het was weer een verrukking dat Hugo terug was. TIjdens zijn spel en zang, merk je dat hij meer af gaat wijken van de standaard nuances, die in de eerste paar weken duidelijk te horen waren.
Maike is in één woord gewoon geweldig. Haar spel en zang is een genot om naar te kijken en vooral te luisteren. Heb deze keer vooral moeten lachen om haar tijdens het laatste deel van Stap vooruit, dat ze met de schoorsteenvegers aan het dansen is. Ze maakt er echt een lolletje van.
Het koppel Steve en Yvonne waren, zoals altijd, weer het komisch duo.
Voor de rol van Jane had ik weer een nieuwe: Eefje Paddenburg. Zij is echt supergoed. Ze komt heel naturel over. Ook haar zang is gewoon, maar heel goed. Ook merk je tijdens de gehele show dat ze weet wie ze speelt en wat er bedoelt wordt met d’r tekst. Dit komt door uiting op de manier waarop ze bepaalde teksten formuleert.
Tevens voor de rol van Michael had ik een nieuwe: Mischa. Mischa moet nog in z’n rol komen. Wat Mischa doet is niet slecht, maar zijn teksten worden nog een beetje voorgedragen. Hierdoor komt het af en toe over alsof hij niet in het verhaal zit. Ook komt Mischa af en toe nog onzeker over. Dit is vooral te zien aan zijn houden en zijn versprekingen. Misschien komt het nog goed. Het was pas z’n derde voorstelling.
Aan Lucia begin ik zo langzamerhand een beetje te wennen. Dat wil zeggen dat ik me niet meer zo onwijs stoor aan haar. Ze zit wat beter in d’r tekst, waardoor het allemaal wat leuker overkomt. Helaas is het komische gedeelte, wat Marjolijn heel goed deed, nog niet bij Lucia te zien.
Verder heb ik gewoon weer genoten van de gehele show. Nu weet ik weer precies wat ik drie weken heb moeten missen. Op naar show 19!
