Op 16 april 2011 vond de beroemde bloemencorso van de Bollenstreek weer plaats. Op een route van 40 km lang trok de stoet van Noordwijk naar Haarlem. Het thema van de 64e editie van de bloemencorso is musical.
De parade bestond uit 16 wagens die opgebouwd waren t prachtige bloemen, zoals hyacinten, tulpen en narcissen. Stuk voor de waren de wagens prachtig om te zien en heerlijk om te ruiken. Omdat het thema dit jaar musicals was, bestond elke wagen uit één musical. Zo kwamen onder andere de musicals Mary Poppins, The Lion King en Mamma Mia voorbij. Ook de nieuwe musical Wicked, die in het najaar van 2011 in première zal gaan, had een eigen wagen.
Aan het opbouwen van de wagens lag een wedstrijd verbonden. De praalwagen van Consogroep De Zik heeft, met de Phantom of the Opera, de mooiste praalwagen. De wagen met The Lion King, van Corsogroep KAVB Hillegom Haarlem e.o., heeft de eerste prijs gewonnen voor het beste steekwerk.
