Gisteravond las ik het bericht dat Renée vandaag voor het eerst de rol van Elphaba zal gaan spelen. Met enige moeite een kaartje weten te bemachtigen, want deze show wil ik echt niet missen. Renée ‘ken’ ik nog van Joseph en Urinetown. In ieder interview heeft Renée aangegeven dat de rol van Elphaba haar droomrol zou zijn. Ik ben dus erg benieuwd hoe ze deze droomrol neer gaat zetten.

Na de show was ik sprakeloos…Wat is Renée een mooie Elphaba. Ze speelt de rol van Elphaba echt geheel op haar eigen manier. Haar spel is zo fijn om naar te kijken en heeft een hoop eigen dingetjes aan Elphaba toegevoegd. Qua zang, (ja ik ga het toch zeggen) heeft Renée niet de kracht die Willemijn heeft, maar dit neemt absoluut niet weg dat Renée ook een strot heeft waar menig zangeres jaloers op zal zijn.
Iemand anders die een compliment verdiend is Chantal. Zij is zo aan het stoeien met haar rol en brengt een hoop leuke nieuwe dingetjes aan haar rol. Dit maakt het voor een veelvoudig bezoeker heerlijk om naar te kijken.
Na de enkele shows die ik tot nu toe heb gezien beginnen mij nu een aantal (kleine) dingetjes op te vallen.
Vandaag viel het mij op dat Penny haar zonnebril niet op had tijdens de eerste scenes van de tweede akte.
