Gisteren vond in het, vol in zon gelegen, Theater M-Lab de perspresentatie plaats van de seizoenafsluiter Ja Zanna, Nee Zanna. Middels een concertversie van een aantal nummer uit de show, werden wij verrast door de kleurrijke en vrolijke cast die zonnige liedjes bracht.
Regisseur Sieta Keizer heeft een prachtige voorstelling in handen welke vertaald is door Ron Mesland. Tijdens de perspresentatie vertelt zijn vol trots en glorie dat Ja Zanna, Nee Zanna een prachtige voorstelling gaat worden. De choreografie ligt in handen van Guilermo Blinker. Sieta en Guilermo hebben elkaar leren kennen tijdens de Choreografen Pitch van het M-Lab.
Tijdens de perspresentatie werd ingebroken door Guy van Vliet, jurylid en woordvoerder van de Vlaamse Musicalprijzen 2012. Hij mocht Matthew Michel (hoofdrolspeler in de rol van Zanna) mede delen dat hij genomineerd is voor Aanstormend Talen voor zijn rol in Lelies.
Ja Zanna, Nee Zanna gaat over vrijheid, recht, democratie en gelijkwaardigheid. Wie van ons heeft niet geknoeid met een gebroken hart, geworsteld met zijn identiteit, met vooroordelen, met vriendschap en liefde? Zanna helpt die stukjes bij elkaar te zoeken, op te rapen en weer in elkaar te leggen. Lichthartig van toon met nummers die meteen blijven hangen.
