Na een lekker ontbijt, verzorgd door Edwin, was het tijd om uit te checken en ons te gaan begeven naar de volgende stop. We gaan vandaag naar Marseille. We maken onderweg een stop in Saint Tropez. Onze verwachtingen zijn hoog…
We komen aan het eind van de ochtend aan. We hadden de illusie dat het hier vol zou zijn met rijke lui die dat een beetje aan het showen zouden zijn. Het tegendeel bewees onze wandeltocht. We zien alleen maar toeristen lopen. Wel zien we prachtige jachten aan wal liggen. Prachtig. Ik heb meteen een idee bedacht: als m’n papa en mama 40 jaar getrouwd zijn gaan we met het gezin zo’n bootje huren en een tocht maken naar de Middellandse zee.
Na een wandeltocht door Saint Tropez zetten we onze roadtrip voort naar Marseille. Eenmaal ingecheckt in het hotel duiken we de stad in. Al snel hebben we door dat de wind hier harder waait dan dat we gewend zijn. Bovenaan een berg waait het zo hard dat we bijna over de railing ‘geduwd’ worden. Snel maar weer naar beneden!
Na een lange wandeling door de stad besluiten we een hapje te eten en dit af te sluiten met een ijsje van Häagen-dazs. Redelijk op tijd zijn we weer in ons hotel. We chillen wat in onze kamer en aan op tijd naar een hotel voor morgen.
