Iedereen kent het verhaal van Annie, het roodharige weeskind dat elke keer weer je hart weet te veroveren. Momenteel is de musical weer te zien in Nederland.
De huidige versie heeft weer een upgrade gehad en is kwalitatief erg goed.
De rol van Annie wordt vanavond gespeeld door Antoinet. Het is erg bijzonder om te zien hoe zo’n klein meisje een grote rol in een musical speelt. Antoinet zingt onwijs mooi en haar spel is heerlijk. De gehele show zit zijn duidelijk in haar rol, waardoor je het roodharige meisje in je armen wil sluiten. Bij het nummer ‘Morgen’ weet zij mij tranen in mijn ogen te zingen.
Tony, in de rol van Warbucks, speelt een mooie persoonlijkheid door in de show van karakter te veranderen. In het begin is Warbucks een erg strenge man, maar gedurende de show laat hij zien dat hij ook een gevoelige kant heeft. Ook laat Tony horen dat hij erg mooi kan zingen.
De rol van Miss Hannigan wordt gespeeld door Gerrie. Voor mij is het de eerste keer dat ik haar in een musical zie. Wat een bijzondere vrouw. Gerrie is gewoon Miss Hannigan.
Maike speelt de rol van de lieve Grace. Maike is en blijft gewoon geweldig. Ook in deze rol laat Maike weer zien dat ze een vakvrouw is. Qua zang weer genoten, maar helaas is er geen ruimte voor een prachtige solo. De reprise van ‘Morgen’ bezorgt mij overigens wel weer een traan over mijn wang. Tevens is het leuk om Maike eindelijk eens een keer te zien dansen.
Haantje wordt gespeeld door Joey. Samen met Cindy, in de rol van Lily, vormt hij een goed koppel. Cindy vind ik qua spel heerlijk om naar te kijken.
Het decor is eenvoudig, maar zeer afwisselend. Hierdoor komt er geen sleur in de musical. Ik vind het wel erg jammer dat er geen live orkest mee speelt. Dit had de show misschien net iets meer power gegeven.
Kortom, een prachtige familiemusical die een verfrissende blik geeft op het verhaal van Annie.
