Rond 8.00u lokale tijd Bangkok maken we Alies wakker voor een ontbijtje en eet ze lekker een boterham met appelstroop, om vervolgens ook nog met het ontbijt van papa en mama mee te eten.
En toen was de vlucht alweer voorbij. Op het vliegveld van Bangkok verliep alles heel soepel. We mochten in een aparte rij voor de paspoortcontrole, wat zeker wel een ruim half uur gescheeld moet hebben. De bagage lag heel snel op de band. En een taxi hadden we ook zo te pakken.
Op naar het hotel midden in de stad. Alies en ik bekijken toch even de binnenkant van onze ogen tijdens de rit. We zien immers de komende dagen genoeg.
Aangekomen in het hotel besluiten we eerst wat te lunchen om daarna even op bed te gaan liggen. Wij hebben voor Alies een tentje bij ons waar zijn de hele vakantie in kan slapen. In dit hotel hebben wij een aparte woon- en slaapkamer dus hebben we nog even geen โlastโ van elkaar.
Na de powernap is het tijd voor een plons in het water. Het is behoorlijk warm hier dus we kunnen de verkoeling wel gebruiken.
Eigenlijk willen we vandaag nog wel iets ondernemen dus kleden we ons om en gaan naar รฉรฉn van de vele shopping malls. Uiteraard wel wandelend, want we willen ook wel wat van Bangkok gezien hebben.
Na een wandeling van een klein uurtje in de warmte (ja om 17u is het nog heel warm) komen we aan bij Central World Plaza. Ik heb in mijn reisverleden al flink wat shopping malls gezien, maar deze is weer eentje van ongekende grootte. Zeven verdiepingen met winkels en restaurants. Al snel gaan we op zoek naar een restaurant om ons eerste Thaise gerecht te eten. Alies is geen fan (snapt mamaโฆ).
Omdat het inmiddels al best bedtijd is voor Alies besluiten we met de taxi terug naar het hotel te gaan. Voor Alies komt dit besluit te laat en ligt al lekker te tukken in de buggy.
In het hotel leggen we Alies lekker op bed en besluiten zelf ook snel daar na het bed in te duiken. We missen immers nog steeds wat uurtjes van de vorige nacht.
