Vandaag gaan we weer gebruik maken van de wekker. We willen namelijk naar The bridge over the river Kwai. We gaan met de boot, aangezien ons resort aan de rivier ligt.
Alies een prachtig zwemvest aan en we kunnen. De wind waait door onze haren. En wat een bijzonder uitzicht. Niet heel spannend, maar juist heel rustige sfeer.
Na een kleine 20 minuten arriveren we bij de brug. Net als al die andere toeristen lopen we heen en weer en daarna is het eigenlijk al weer klaar.
We nemen een drank op het plein bij de brug om vervolgens een tuktuk richting de begraafplaats te nemen. Best indrukwekkend al die graven.
Aangezien de temperatuur weer flink gestegen is besluiten we terug te gaan naar het resort. Daar nemen we een lekkere duik in het zwembad. We lunchen nog wat en moeten daarna de laatste bagage pakken. Om 13u worden we namelijk door de minivan weer opgehaald. Die brengt ons naar de volgende bestemming: Ayutthaya.
Alies zit weer veilig in de autostoel en we kunnen vertrekken. Na een kleine vier uur arriveren we in ons volgende hotel.
Na het inchecken eerst naar het treinstation om tickets te scoren voor de nachttrein naar Chiang Mai voor overmorgen.
Geregeld! En we kunnen zwemmen.
Na het zwemmen is het alweer tijd om te dineren. Naast ons hotel zit een restaurant. Erg chic voor Thaise begrippen. En ook erg lekker. We eten ons buikje vol en gaan daarna lekker naar onze kamer zodat we even kunnen chillen op ons balkon als Alies gaat slapen.
