Gelukkig heb ik nog wel wat uurtjes m’n ogen dicht kunnen houden.
Na het ontbijt zijn we eerst kaartjes wezen kopen voor de musicals. Ik wil morgen heel graag naar Wicked. Gelukkig heb ik een hele mooie plek weten te bemachtigen op rij 4. Hopelijk is het ook een mooie plek, maar dit weten we morgen pas.
Marianne en Celeste hebben kaartjes gekocht voor The Lion King voor morgenavond.
Na onze aankopen zijn we met de metro naar Central Park gegaan. Daar hebben we lekker rondgelopen en gezeten op verschillende plekjes. Onze lunch hebben we ook genuttigd in Central Park.
Vanuit het Central Park zijn we nog wat winkeltjes afgegaan. Eén hiervan was de Apple store. Wat een geweldige winkel. Het staat hier helemaal vol met de nieuwe iPad. Ik had er zo graag één mee willen nemen. Gewoon voor de heb. Ik heb besloten het toch maar niet te doen…
Na het shoppen zijn we teruggegaan naar onze hotelkamer om ons te verkleden.
Met de benenwagen zijn we weer richting Times Square gegaan. Hier hebben we een hapje gegeten bij Applebees. Natuurlijk ging het daar weer verkeerd. We hadden als starter Nachos. Maar deze werden tegelijkertijd met ons hoofdgerecht geserveerd. Niet handig als je juist het voorgerecht neemt om de tijd een beetje te rekken. We hebben de hoofdgerechten maar terug laten sturen naar de keuken.
Uiteindelijk hebben we heerlijk gegeten.
Na het diner hebben we ons opgesplitst. Celeste en Marianne zijn wezen shoppen op Broadway. Ik mocht deze avond naar Mary Poppins.
Helemaal enthousiast zit ik in het theater om te kijken naar de Broadway versie. Vorig jaar heb ik Mary Poppins ook al gezien op Broadway, maar omdat ik nu zo verslaafd ben door de Nederlandse versie, wilde ik deze graag nogmaals op Broadway zien.
Heb natuurlijk van de show genoten, maar ben tot de conclusie gekomen dat ik de Nederlandse versie beter vind. Wij mogen trots zijn op wat wij in Nederland kunnen.
Natuurlijk wilde ik, zoals ik Nederland ook altijd doe, op de foto met Mary en Bert, oftewel met Laura en Christian.
Celeste en Marianne zouden rond kwart voor elf bij het theater zijn. Dit waren ze natuurlijk wel, maar ze hadden de hele avond bijna op de hotelkamer gezeten. Celeste had al liggen maffen. Ze wilden mij niet alleen laten gaan. Wat lief.
Met de taxi zijn we naar hotel gegaan, om daar weer lekker te gaan slapen en ons op te laden voor de volgende dag.
