Na een koude winter wacht Nederland al maanden op een zonnige periode. Afgelopen dagen mogen wij daar enigszins van genieten: een combinatie van hitte en zonnige perioden is hetgeen wat Nederland al een paar dagen heeft bereikt. Na maanden zeuren krijgen wij wat we willen, maar desondanks zijn wij niet tevreden. “Pfff wat is het warm!” is wat ik nu ik veel hoor in de wandelgangen op kantoor of op straat.
Ik kan mij die opmerkingen ook wel een beetje voorstellen. In Nederland komt de zomer altijd zo spontaan en is vaak ook zo weer vertrokken. Het lijkt wel alsof het in ons land nooit een srustig opgebouwd kan worden en lekker blijven hangen op aangenamen temperaturen. Nee, het moet van 10 graden springen naar een broeierige, benauwde, warme zomerdag, die het liefst afgesloten wordt met een flinke onweersbui.
Misschien moeten we ons met z’n alle erbij neerleggen dat dat nou eenmaal het klimaat van Nederland is. Voor degene die dat niet willen accepteren is een emigratie naar de Noorpool of de Saharah misschien een idee…
