Vandaag togen wij met de I-Trolley naar Seaworld. Wij allen vonden, in vergelijking met de Disney-parken, Seaworld een beetje tegenvallen.
’t Was er een beetje rommelig en wij waren natuurlijk inmiddels aan het strakke, goed georganiseerde Disney-stramien gewend.
De shows met de orka’s, zeehonden en dolfijnen waren overweldigend. Heel mooi om te zien. Vooral de show met de orka’s waar de toeristen in het stadion lekker helemaal vooraan gaan zitten, want dan zie je alles zo goed. Vooral als die beesten met hun staarten op het water slaan en dan tientallen liters water over deze toeristen smijten is het dolle pret.
De drie kids bezochten Journeys to Atlantis, de allerhoogst wildwaterbaan die wij in Orlando tegen zijn gekomen. En alleen onze durfal Celeste bracht een bezoekje aan de vreselijkste rollercoaster die je ooit in je leven hebt gezien, Kraken. Ontelbare loopings en meedogenloze steile hellingen komen er in deze achtbaan voor. Volgens Celeste was dit de allergaafste achtbaan die zij ooit heeft meegemaakt.
Maar de hit van de dag was toch wel het aaien en voeren van de dolfijnen. Zo’n kleine anderhalf uur hebben we over de rand van het bassin gehangen om die prachtige dolfijnen te voeren en te aaien. Marsha d’r nieuwe broek was door de scherpe rand van het bassin helemaal versleten.
Met het lege bakkie waar vis in had gezeten lokten we de dolfijnen naar ons toe, als je ze geen aandacht gaf gooiden deze zoogdieren met hun neus een lading water over je heen. Toen we naar huis gingen, roken we helemaal naar vis door al dat water wat we over onze kleren hadden gekregen. We besloten op de terugweg een supermarkt te zoeken om een paar stokbroden met salades te halen. ’s Avonds in het zwembad gaven Celeste en Edwin hun eigen dolfijnenshowtje weg.
