Vandaag hebben we een rustig programma. We slapen uit, eten bij het zwembad onze eigen crackers en gaan op pad.
Onze eerste stop is op Sanibel Island. Hier nemen we twee uurtjes rust. In de hitte is het slechts verplaatsen tussen de handdoeken en de zee. Enkele keren achter elkaar. Het blijkt maar weer dat ik niet geschikt ben om niets te doen. Ik verveel me als snel. Ik ga dus alleen maar even een korte wandeling maken langs het strand.
De volgende stop is het hotel in Fort Myers. Ook hier doen we niets anders dan zwemmen in de zee, zwemmen in het zwembad en liggen in de zon en schaduw. En wederom: niets voor mij.
Voor het diner hadden we een heerlijke picknick op het strand gepland, helaas bracht het rode lichaam hier verandering. Het werd dus een diner in de hotelkamer.
Na het diner gaan we midgetgolfen. Ik ben hier wel goed in, ik heb alleen geen geluk… Celeste is de winnaar van vanavond. Net als 10 jaar geleden hebben wij allemaal de jongste laten winnen.
Om 23.00u zijn we weer terug bij het hotel en nemen we nog even een drankje voor de hotelkamers.
