We hebben besloten vandaag toch ook maar de rit aan te gaan naar Chiang Mai. Hierin de buurt van ons resort is immers weinig te doen.
Eerst maar even ontbijten en daarna even zwemmen.
Om 11u worden we met de taxi naar het centrum van Chiang Mai gebracht. Aangekomen gaan we eerst even lekker lunchen om vervolgens de hitte weer in te gaan om te wandelen. Na een klein half uurtje vinden we het wandelen toch niet meer zo leuk met die warmte. We besluiten met een lokale taxibus naar Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep te gaan: een tempel boven op een berg net buiten het centrum.
De weg ernaartoe is flink bochtjes rijden de berg op. Best wel misselijkmakend voor mij. Ik ben dan ook blij dat we boven zijn. We besluiten om met Alies (ja, goed excuus hè) de lift te nemen in plaats van een flinke klim met de trap.
Eenmaal boven lopen we een rondje om te tempel en zijn we wel snel weer uitgekeken. En we gaan weer met de lift naar beneden.
Onze taxichauffeur heeft vriendelijk staan wachten en brengt ons weer terug naar het cenrum.
We lopen daar nog wat over de markten en gaan daarna even afkoelen bij de Starbucks.
Voor het diner hadden we gisteravond een leuk plein gezien met allemaal verschillende tentjes. Hier besluiten we vanavond te eten. Aangezien we net een heerlijke frappuchino op hebben, hebben we niet zo’n honger (op Alies na dan, die heeft altijd wel trek).
Na het diner lopen we naar de taxichauffeur die ons de vorige avond naar ons resort heeft gebracht. Hij kan over 20 minuten ons wegbrengen, Oké, dan offeren wij ons wel op en gaan wel een ijsje eten bij Haägen-Dazs.
Om 21u zijn weer terug in onze villa. Even chillen en dan lekker naar bed.
