We doen lekker rustig aan deze ochtend. Als iedereen wakker is gaan we rustig ontbijten en de spullen pakken. We vertrekken met een taxi naar Phromthep cape om te kijken hoe mooi Phuket nu echt is. Vanaf dit uitzicht punt zien we mooie zeeën en prachtige stranden.
Daarna rijden we naar Kata Noi Beach. Onderweg komen we nog een uitzichtpunt tegen. Uiteraard hier ook even gekeken.
Aangekomen op Kata Noi Beach zien we een leuk plekje om te lunchen. Helaas is dit alleen voor hotelgasten toegankelijk. Bij de receptie maar even vragen of wij voor een dag gebruik kunnen maken van het restaurant, ligbedden, zwembad en strand. Tourlijk: Kost dan 5.000 THB (EUR 125) per persoon. “you are crazy!!” was mijn reactie en heb mij omgedraaid. Dan maar elders lunchen.
Na de lunch hebben we ons ook door een tuk tuk af laten zetten bij Kata Beach. Dit is een heel gezellig strandje. Even lekker een duik nemen in de toch wel wilde zee. Alies vond de golven helemaal geweldig. Totdat ze klapte in d’r nek. Toen kwam er wel een schrikmomentje, maar uiteraard toen de golf voorbij was weer schateren van het lachen.
Ondertussen was het tijd voor een tukje. Alies lekker in de wagen en Edwin en ik wachten op het strand tot ze weer wakker zou worden. Zit je dan onder een boom in de schaduw.
Ik neem mijn woorden deels terug: Phuket heeft zeker mooie plekjes. Maar al met al ben ik toch niet heel erg te spreken over dit eiland. Geef mij maar een andere plek in Thailand, waar het iets minder toeristisch is.
Na een uurtje is Alies wakker en kunnen we met de tuk tuk terug naar het hotel. Daar lekker even zwemmen in het zwembad.
Voor het eten even lekker douchen om vervolgens weer naar de shopping mall te lopen voor een diner. Na het eten even een ijsje halen bij Häagen-dasz en weer naar het hotel terug.
De avond zit er bijna op. Alies speelt nog even een liedje met de huisband mee. En dan kunnen we weer lekker naar bed. Morgenochtend vroeg weer op om met het vliegtuig naar Bangkok terug te vliegen
