Ondanks dat we vannacht pas om 3.00u in bed lagen waren we erg vroeg wakker. De wekker hadden we om 10.00u gezet, zodat we nog wel wat aan onze dag zouden hebben. Om 8.30u waren we allebei klaarwakker. Dan maar lekker snel ontbijten en de hort op.
De trip van vandaag gaat naar Milaan. Het is een lange, maar mooie tour door het prachtige landschap van Duitsland en Zwitserland. Helaas heb ik niet alles meegekregen. Af en toe vielen mijn ogen toch wel dicht. Ook veroorzaakten tunnels door de bergen wat verlies van het uitzicht. Tijdens de autorit zijn we een aantal keren gestopt om van het uitzicht te genieten.
Eenmaal in Milaan aangekomen realiseer ik mij weer dat dit de allereerste keer is dat ik Italië ben. Best bijzonder, aangezien is andere continenten al vaker bezocht heb…
Nadat we hebben ingecheckt gaan we om de hoek even een drankje drinken. Daarna besluiten we om naar een park te gaan en daar een beetje rond te wandelen. Dit kan natuurlijk niet zonder energie, dus eten we eerst even snel een burger bij de McDonalds.
Na de wandeling keren we weer terug richting ons hotel om in de buurt een hapje te eten. Het wordt nu wel echt Italiaans: pizza voor Edwin en carpacciosalade voor mij en als toetje natuurlijk echt Italiaans ijs.
Het diner heeft ons goed gedaan en met een voldaan gevoel keren wij terug naar ons hotel om lekker op tijd naar bed te gaan.
