Deze ochtend gaat de wekker heel vroeg. Op het programma staat het spotten van dolfijnen. Om 6.45u worden we op het strand opgehaald en gaat we met nog 30 andere bootjes de zee op.
Na drie kwartier varen, ik had de moed inmiddels al opgegeven, spotten we in de verte de eerste dolfijnen. Binnen enkele seconden hadden alle bootjes de dolfijnen gespot en binnen enkele minuten waren alle bootjes op die ene locatie. Jullie snappen vast wel dat de dolfijnen inmiddels verdwenen waren.
Na een tijdje volgt hetzelfde ritueel: dolfijnen gespot, alle bootjes er direct op af en dolfijnen weg. Ik denk dat ik verwend ben. In Florida springen de dolfijnen gewoon achter de boot aan.
Wanneer we weer aan wal zijn is het tijd om te ontbijten, uit te checken en op naar de volgende bestemming: Sanur.
Vandaag is het de eerste keer dat we het niet treffen met de taxichauffeur. Naar mijn mening rijdt hij te roekeloos en toetert hij om de drie seconden. Dat is niet erg als je rit maar tien minuten duurt, maar een rit van ruim twee uur…
Als we in Sanur aankomen en ingecheckt zijn kom ik erachter dat onze straat een McDonalds heeft. Allebei verlangen we naar iets bekends.
Na de verlate lunch besluiten we lekker te chillen bij het zwembad. Even onze slaap inhalen.
In de avond duiken we het stadje in, op zoek naar een tent om te dineren. We komen terecht bij een heerlijke Itialiaan met een Starbucks als buurman. Na een heerlijke pizza en een koffie met cheesecake gaan we weer terug naar het hotel.
